What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skill sets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  • Planning, Scope, and Delivery: You will scope and deliver risk-based audits to provide independent assurance to management that all key risks are managed effectively through the evaluation of systems of internal control and corporate governance.
  • Teamwork: You will contribute to the effectiveness and development of the Internal Audit function at Primark, evaluate and enhance the maturity of the internal control environment, and provide appropriate guidance and support to the leadership team.
  • Collaboration: You will build trusted and effective relationships with relevant stakeholders within our business. This is essential for conducting work reliably and collaboratively and sharing best practices.
  • Communication: You will record, track, and monitor agreed actions from all meetings and work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure key milestones are achieved. You will prepare high-quality written reports on relevant governance, risk management, and control issues, communicate these to management, and agree on appropriate action plans, and produce clear working papers to address the in-scope risk areas.
  • Partner: You will maintain expert knowledge of internal audit industry best practices, new technologies, and advancements and provide strategically sound recommendations to the business.

What You’ll Bring

  • You will have experience either in internal or external audits either from industry or practice.
  • You will have a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
  • You will have experience in a risk-based auditing approach.
  • You will have effective communication skills which will support you with report writing and engaging with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • You are a team player, who wants to develop your career in a growing business, you will be keen to learn about our organisation, take accountability for your work, and shape the internal audit strategy within the organisation through your delivery.
