Lecturer - Introduction to Law

We are currently seeking applications for a part-time Lecturer to deliver the Introduction to Law module on our Level 8 Bachelor of Business programme. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable educator who is passionate about law and committed to inspiring and engaging students in their learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional or experienced lecturer to contribute to the development of future business graduates by delivering practical, relevant, and engaging classes.

Details:

Location: In-Person teaching on campus on Sth Great Georges Street, Dublin 2

Contract: Part-time

Duration: 12-week semester for 5 teaching hours per week (daytime teaching)

Day & Times: Monday - 9am - 2.20pm

Start Date: week of7th September 2026

Module Topics:

Introduction to the Irish Legal System

Introduction to Employment Law

Introduction to Employment Law

Introduction to the Law of Tort

Introduction to Contract Law

Introduction to Company Law

Essential qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have:

• A postgraduate qualification in Law (minimum requirement)
• Relevant professional or industry experience in a legal field
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong IT skills and the ability to use technology effectively in teaching
• A proactive and student-centred approach, with a commitment to supporting learner engagement, progression, and employability

Desirable

• Previous lecturing, teaching, or training experience in higher education or a professional setting
• Experience delivering law modules to undergraduate learners
• A passion for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment
