iPlanit Project Implementer

Grade V (Clerical) – Full Time (35 hour working week)

Fixed Term Contract – 2 Years

Salary: The 7 -point salary scale for the post as of 01/02/2026:

€52,235, €53,798, €55,391, €57,021, €58,659, €60,569, €62,485 LSIs

New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

Role: The Purpose of this role is for the implementation of iPlanit (person-centred care planning software system) across the organisation to ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources to support the delivery of high-quality services by Horizons.

The successful candidate will report to the iplanit Project Lead and will be responsible for rolling out iPlanit across all locations of the organisation throughout Cork city and county. The successful candidate will be responsible for the training and onboarding of staff and working with the existing project team and software supplier to resolve any issues that may arise.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working collaboratively with the existing project team.
  • Responsibility for the implementation of iPlanit at each of Horizons locations throughout Cork city and county.
  • Manage/coordinate of all implementation tasks, from initial client contact, location setup user training, stakeholder communication and engagement through to project completion.
  • Ongoing stakeholder communication and engagement in conjunction with the Project Team.
  • The successful candidate will be the dedicated resource for users’ questions on iPlanit, training issues, and concerns during the onboarding process.
  • Preparing a detailed work plan to schedule and update key project milestones, workstreams and activities.
  • Managing the delivery of projects according to this plan.
  • Attend and host regular manager and staff meetings/calls to review the project against the plan for each location.
  • Providing regular progress reports to key stakeholders.
  • Managing the relationships and communication with all stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered satisfactorily.
  • Identifying and mitigating or escalating potential risks in conjunction with the Project Team.
  • Facilitate user training for staff and managers on relevant aspects of the Time and attendance software.
  • Escalate issues that impact the client experience or put the target date at risk to the iPlanit Project Lead.
  • Provide accurate and timely implementation statuses and escalate issues that impact the client experience or put the target date at risk.

Essential requirements:

  • Have satisfactory experience as a clerical officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004.

OR

  • Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irisp. Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination.

OR

  • Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in any equivalent examination in another jurisdiction.

OR

  • Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI).

Note1: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher-level papers. A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptable. Candidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programme. The Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.

AND

  • At least two years’ experience in a large organisation, with strong IT skills and experience producing professional documents and reports is essential.
  • Full Clean Driver's License and access to own vehicle is essential.
  • Candidates must have valid work permissions and eligibility to work in Ireland at the time of application.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment supporting digital transformation applications and/or projects is an advantage.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evidence of strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in training and supporting large teams is an advantage.
  • Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability, for the proper discharge of the office.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a high pressure, competing-priority work environment.
  • Able to work in a team environment and partner with colleagues.
  • Effective troubleshooting, diagnosis and problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and Communications Skills – listening, presentation and written.
  • Ability to operate in the framework of autonomous working and working in a close-knit team.
  • Ideally a background working in a Healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in usage of Microsoft office applications (primarily Excel/PowerPoint) is essential.

Desirable:

  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience working with software systems in a healthcare environment
  • An understanding of person-centred planning
