Join us as a IT Operations Retail Specialist

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager this position will form an integral part of the IT Operations team with responsibility for driving service excellence and stability in the Retail Operations domain. This is for both our internal and external customers alike, while still facilitating necessary changes to the environment.

The role will support the operational stability and performance of the Retail environment from a Technology perspective. This will be delivered to the business while liaising with wider IT & Networks area, Three Business and Retail suppliers. 

What else it involves:

  • Support the tracking and reporting of operational metrics with Retail suppliers for IT Applications and Network Services, ensuring alignment with business and customer needs.
  • Assist in the vendor management activities for MSP and third-party IT & Network suppliers, helping to ensure they meet their contractual obligations within the Retail domain.
  • Provide support during high-impact (non-P1/P2) Retail incidents based on business priority, ensuring follow-up actions and lessons learned are documented and tracked.
  • Support key service management processes such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management within the Retail domain by helping to coordinate actions and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with Service Management teams to help monitor and maintain Retail application performance, including tracking and reacting to key Retail KPIs.
  • Contribute to Retail domain strategy and risk identification in coordination with IT & Network teams, including Architects. Help ensure risks are recorded and monitored.
  • Work closely with Retail stores and agents to support system stability and contribute to a strong customer experience.
  • Assist in monitoring capacity and performance of Retail applications, supporting future scalability and efficiency efforts.
  • Support software and licence asset tracking for the Retail domain, helping to maintain accurate records and compliance.

The Skills we are looking for:

Must Have

  • Experience in an Operations or Service delivery role within a multi stakeholder and vendor environment
  • Experience managing IT & Network Applications in a Retail environment.
  • Exceptional ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers required.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence others at different levels.
  • Proven track record in striving for continuous improvement and driving efficiencies, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proven team player in working with one’s peers to ensure that delivery of service is timely, efficient and of high quality.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills together with the ability to deliver to Operations team in the business and IT areas.
  • Experience in creating a high-performance culture through target setting, performance evaluation, and employee engagement.

    Nice to Have
  • Practical financial budget experience and a track record of management experience operating at a high level in the organization.
  • Project Management capabilities with ability to plan, initiate, monitor and implement projects within a team.
  • Appreciation of how technology can improve business processes
  • An IT or Networks qualification is desirable.
