The Role
As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering medium-scale IT projects or managing multiple smaller projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external suppliers, you will play a key role in driving technology-enabled change across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, execution, governance, and successful delivery of IT projects.
- Managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and dependencies.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business priorities and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with IT strategy and governance standards.
- Managing change control processes and escalating risks or issues where required.
- Monitoring project performance and ensuring expected business benefits are realised.
- Collaborating with third-party suppliers to support project delivery.
- Working within regulated and GxP-compliant environments.
About You
- You will have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience, alongside:
- 5+ years' experience across multiple IT disciplines.
- 2-3 years' experience leading full lifecycle IT projects.
- Experience managing project governance, budgets, risks, suppliers, and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of recognised project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or PMI.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and project management tools.
- Previous experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills
- Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent).
- Business analysis experience, including requirements gathering and process mapping.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, enterprise systems, and infrastructure concepts.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience delivering infrastructure and application projects.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, SCM, MES, or LIMS systems.
