IT Support Administrator

We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team and take responsibility for managing our Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, including Intune, Defender, Mimecast, Azure SQL databases and our Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) till estate. Working Pattern:

  • 37.5 hours per week 
  • Flexible and Agile working patterns
  • Core hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

The Role: 

  • Manage and maintain our Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other related services. 
  • Administer Azure SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. 
  • Oversee and configure Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and application management. 
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for endpoint protection and security. 
  • Administer Mimecast for email security, continuity, and archiving. 
  • Maintain and support our Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) till estate, ensuring smooth operations and integration with other systems. 
  • Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. 
  • Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery. 
  • Monitor system performance and capacity, making recommendations for improvements as needed. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our IT infrastructure. 

The Person: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT systems administration, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure services. 
  • Experience with Intune for mobile device management and application deployment. 
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Microsoft Defender for endpoint security, including testing, development and deployment of conditional access policies and Microsoft Baseline Security Policies. 
  • Familiarity with Mimecast or other email security solutions. 
  • Experience supporting and managing EPOS till systems is highly desirable. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Clean driving license and own car.
