Main Purpose of Job:

Due to business growth, we are currently recruiting for an IT Systems Administrator to join Connolly Motor Group's IT team. The candidate would ideally be based in Sligo to cover our locations in Sligo and Letterkenny.

The role:

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the team, to continuously deliver the highest level of satisfaction to employees and the management team. This would include responding to any systems queries across the group and working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to problem solving, researching, and finding solutions, and delivering a profession and efficient solution to queries is essential.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support as requested by Group I.T. Manager.
  • Manage the helpdesk ticketing system in a timely manner.
  • Support the business in the development of new initiatives.
  • Identify bottlenecks and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Delivering roll out of projects.
  • Keeping up with I.T. trends, continuous learning and sharing knowledge within the I.T. team
  • Travel across sites and events as per group needs.
  • As part of the I.T. team, you may be required to work in accordance with the operational needs of the company. This includes flexibility during company events and other I.T. requirements.

The person:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Relevant third level qualification or experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage
  • Deep knowledge of computer systems, networks, and systems administration.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with the following would be an advantage: Keyloop (CDK) DMS, Freshservice, Powershell.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the group.
  • Self-motivation and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Possess strong attention to detail. (can this be moved to the top … very important !!!)
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidentiality is an essential requirement.
  • Full Driving License is required.
