IT Systems Improvement Specialist – (Job Ref: 26N/ITIS)

Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and achieve. We have a new opportunity for an IT Systems Improvement Specialist, within our IT team.

Location: Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4LF.

Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent. 

Working Hours / Shifts: 8.40am to 5.20pm, Monday to Friday. However, some flexibility may be required.

What does this role involve?

This role is responsible for assisting and implementing process improvement initiatives to deliver efficiencies and benefits throughout the business. The main duties of the role include: 

• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements across the business.
• Assist in planning and executing process improvement projects.
• Optimise or redesign process flows to meet project requirements.
• Ensure all documentation and change control is maintained with the necessary support and monitoring in place to ensure uninterrupted service for all applications.
• Provide third level support for the IT Service Desk in relation to key IT systems and applications.
• Assist with the management of software licensing.
• Assist in documenting new procedures and policies for business improvement.
• Ensure best practice in relation to Information Security and secure applications.
• Consult with key stakeholders on all software-related queries and provide expert advice on the purchase of new applications.
• Consult with third party vendors to resolve application/system issues.
• Assist in determining project scope and schedule based on business needs.
• Work closely with the business to define the short-term and long-term objectives and potential gains.
• Give advice, guidance and help to the rest of the business and training when required.
• Assist with the continuous improvement of information security as identified by the ISO 27001 management team.
• Report all information security related incidents to a member of the Information Security team, as soon as possible.

Who can apply?

Essential criteria:


• Educated to degree level in an IT related subject.
• Previous experience within an IT position. 
• Strong communication and organisational skills. 
• Have a willingness to learn and explore modern technologies.

Desirable:

• Experience in a similar role. 
• Experience in a project management or IT Support role.
• Experience in SAGE, SAP, CRM and LIMS applications.
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft 365 Certified qualifications.
• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
• Experience with PowerShell automation.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience supporting SharePoint Online and Teams administration.
