Moore Concrete’s Apprenticeship Programme is an opportunity that we pride ourselves in offering to young students studying all levels of apprenticeships, providing them with the platform to upskill, develop their knowledge and gain relevant work experience alongside their studies. We were finalists in the CIPD NI Best Apprenticeship Scheme Category, which is a great testament to the work and dedication that goes into developing and supporting our apprentices. We have an on-site Apprentice Mentor who is available for unlimited support and guidance, as well as quarterly Apprentice Reviews to grasp a deeper understanding of what our Apprentices have learnt and how else we can accommodate them to help grow their technical ability within their role. We are offering joinery apprenticeships which will combine on-the-job learning with study and put the apprentice on the path to gaining a recognised qualification whilst gaining valuable experience in a busy joinery workshop. The successful candidate will complete in-house training to become a joiner/mould maker as part of our joinery team in the manufacturing of timber moulds for our civil engineering projects. The purpose of the role is to operate as part of a team in accordance with Company standards and targets, adhering to the daily production plan e.g., manufacturing timber moulds, carrying out tasks effectively and meeting the Health, Safety and Quality standardsHours of Work: Hours will be variable between 32 - 48 hours per week as needed. Standard hours of work will be Monday – Friday 06:00 – 15:00 or 07:00 – 16:00 however flexibility to work overtime and/or Saturdays as necessary is essential. Please make HR aware of what day(s) you will require for day release to college. The ideal candidate will have the, following: Working toward a Joinery/Carpentry Qualification Health and Safety awareness: understanding of H&S rules and procedures and adherence. Use skills learnt with further education to being different approaches and outlooks on processes to work more efficiently. Clear communication skills as part of a team, discussing matters and reporting to Supervisor when necessary. Essential Criteria: Studying or applying to study a Joinery/Carpentry Apprenticeship Understanding of Health & Safety Good communication skills and teamwork. Willingness to lean and upskill.
