Joint Hospital Recruitment, Palliative Medicine Registrar
Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services (OLH&CS) is overseeing the Joint Recruitment campaign for Palliative Medicine Registrar vacancies for July 2026 intake.
A provisional list of participating hospices and hospitals includes (this list is not exhaustive):
- Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services Harold’s Cross
- Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services Blackrock Hospice and Wicklow Hospice
- St. Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh, Co Kildare
- St Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin
- St. James’s Hospital, Dublin
- Tallaght University Hospital (Two fulltime posts - Palliative and 0.6/0.4WTE Medical Oncology/Palliative)
- St Vincent’s University Hospital (6-month post)
Note:Some posts may be allocated by the Specialist Registrar Training Scheme or otherwise prior to the date of interview and may not be available.
Candidates must have:
- Full registration in the General Register of Medical Practitioners maintainted by the Medical Council of Ireland
- MRCPI or equivalent
- At least 4 years post qualification experience
- At least 1 years experience at Registrar level working in Palliative Medicine, Oncology, Gerontology, Respiratory or Neurology.
- Excellent communication skills evidenced in written and oral formats
- Full drivers license and access to your own car (if required by your post)
Each candidate will be requested to rank the available posts in order of preference on the day prior to their interview.

Interviews will be held virtually on Friday 20th February 2026 and a link to the interview will be sent to shortlisted candidates ahead of time.
