As part of the day‑to‑day operation of our data privacy function, we are hiring a Junior Privacy Analyst to join our Data Privacy team, based in our Head Office in Dublin city centre. This role is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early‑career professional with a keen interest in data privacy, compliance, or risk to gain practical, hands‑on experience supporting GDPR operations within a large retail organisation.

Reporting to the Data Privacy Manager, the Junior Data Privacy Analyst will primarily support the day‑to‑day administration of the organisation’s data privacy function. The role focuses on managing data subject rights requests, responding to privacy‑related queries, maintaining accurate records and logs, and supporting the coordination of data privacy assessments and risk management activities. This position is well suited to someone who is highly organised, detail‑focused, and motivated to build a strong foundation in data protection through operational delivery and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the handling of data subject rights requests, including access, deletion, rectification, queries, and complaints, by gathering information, preparing draft responses, tracking deadlines, and escalating issues in line with agreed procedures.
  • Operate the data privacy mailbox on a day‑to‑day basis by logging requests, acknowledging receipt, routing queries to the appropriate owner, and maintaining registers under the direction of the Data Privacy Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of data privacy activities, including request registers, incident logs, and DPIA records, to support reporting, oversight, and audits.
  • Assist with data privacy assessments by completing templates, collating supporting documentation, and following up on agreed actions.
  • Support privacy training and awareness activities by updating materials, coordinating distribution, and tracking completion across the organisation.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Data Privacy Manager, including meeting coordination, document management, and preparation of routine reports.
  • Develop knowledge of data protection requirements and internal processes, escalating risks, uncertainties, or non‑standard issues for review.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Third‑level qualification in a business‑related or similar discipline.
  • Interest in data privacy, legal, risk, or technology‑focused environments.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving ability.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally across the business.
  • Proactive, positive team player with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Motivation to deliver a high‑quality data subject experience through accurate handling of requests and follow‑through.
  • Support will be provided for relevant Data Protection certifications.
