Kennel Assistant - Canine Carer

Kennel Assistant / Canine Carer required to join our team.

The job will include cleaning, feeding and exercising dogs along with performing daily health checks, administering medication, completing relevant charts and forms, assisting the vet and ensuring a high standard of health and wellbeing for all our dogs.

The role will also involve some reception work and customer service, answering calls, taking messages and providing assistance and information to the public during opening hours

The role also includes cleaning of reception, treatment rooms, wc, kitchen areas etc and general maintenance

Candidates should be confident working with animals of all sizes and temperaments

Caring for animals can be physically demanding lifting, cleaning, exercising dogs - candidates should be comfortable with this aspect of the job

No formal qualifications required, however a basic level of experience and competence in handling dogs is essential and further training will be provided

Candidates must be available to work weekdays and weekends on a rota basis
