Kitchen Assistant

Padre Pio Nursing Home is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant – Full & Part-time hours available.

Previous experience would be desirable but not essential. 

Full on-site training available and excellent opportunities for professional development.

Duties:

• Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
• Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
• Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
• Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare salads and desserts
• Disposing of rubbish
• Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
• Working as part of a busy team 
• Communicating effectively with all staff and residents
