We have multiple opportunities for full time Laboratory Assistants at our laboratory in Kearneysville, West Virginia. In this role you will be working with high volumes of inbound samples.
Location: Randox Laboratories, 515 Industrial Blvd, Kearneysville, WV 25430, United States.
Contract Offered: Full time (40 hours per week), permanent.
Working Hours / Shifts: Monday to Friday 7.30am-4.00pm or 10.30am-7.00pm (weekend cover may be required on occasion)
What does this role involve?
This role is responsible for assisting with routine clinical testing in our laboratory. The main duties of the role include:

What does this role involve?
This role is responsible for assisting with routine clinical testing in our laboratory. The main duties of the role include:
- Routine use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMs).
- Receipt, sort and accession high volume of incoming samples in a timely and accurate manner
- Verify sample information, labelling, and accompanying documentation
- Prepare samples for processing, aliquoting and routing to relevant teams
- Specimen Analysis, Storage and Disposal.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues with samples, documentation or data entry
- Maintenance of Sample Inventory.
- Strict adherence to chain of custody procedures throughout the analytical process.
- Ownership of External Quality Control (EQA) Schemes for certain programs
- Maintenance of Stock Control in laboratory.
- Removal of expired products.
- Recording and monitoring of temperatures for laboratory equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work spaces
- High school diploma
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive task environment
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with database systems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain compliance with quality standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Reliability and accountability in handling sensitive samples and information
- Prior experience in a laboratory, healthcare, or sample processing environment
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or accessioning workflows
- Understanding of chain-of-custody and sample tracking processes
