Laboratory Technicians

Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties, and annual revenues of almost €2 billion in the current year.

The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state of the art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland

We employ some 1,300 employees across the Group with the majority evenly split between NI and ROI.

We are now seeking applications for the positions of Laboratory Technicians based in the Micro and UHT Laboratories in Killeshandra and in the Micro and Chemical Laboratories in Bailieborough

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the successful candidates will work as part of the Quality Assurance Teams to help ensure product quality.

Key Competencies

Individual: The successful candidates will favour structure, working systematically, methodically and be an organised individual whilst adhering closely to policies, procedures and precedent. They should be thorough and consistently maintain standards. The individuals will be approachable, a team player with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Experience: Previous experience of communicating and interacting with internal and external customers. Good IT skills. Previous experience in a similar role while not essential would be an advantage.

Qualification: The ideal candidate should hold a relevant 3rd level qualification.
