About Mount Hybla

The original house and lands at Mount Hybla were a Glebe for the Church of Ireland Parish of Castleknock & Mulhuddart. The house, overlooking Farmleigh Estate in the Phoenix Park, was built around 1750 and is a protected architectural structure. With beautiful recreational grounds and activity spaces Mount Hybla creates a warm atmosphere for all residents and their requirements.  About the role

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for collecting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry items including residents' personal clothing, bedding, towels, and facility linens. This role is essential in maintaining hygiene and comfort standards for residents in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and sort laundry from resident rooms and facility bins.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Use appropriate detergents and disinfectants, following infection control procedures.
• Inspect items for stains or damage and report issues to the supervisor.
• Fold, hang, and organize clean laundry.
• Distribute laundered items to resident rooms and designated storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the laundry area.
• Follow all safety and infection prevention protocols.
• Record and report laundry usage and supply needs.
• Respect residents’ privacy and personal belongings.
• Support occasional deep cleaning tasks if needed.
