We are looking for an experienced Laundry Assistant to join our team at Millbrook Court, Bangor.

We are looking for an experienced Laundry Assistant to join our team at Millbrook Court, Bangor.
Working Pattern:
- 21 hours per week
- 3/7 days with every other weekend off
- 2 week roatating rota
- This is a temporary postion with a chance of becoming permanent

- As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the laundry service, ensuring that all items are cleaned, processed and returned to the required standard.
- Sort laundry appropriately before washing, ensuring items are processed in accordance with site procedures.
- Operate washing machines, tumble dryers and other laundry equipment safely and correctly.
- Wash, dry, fold and prepare clothing, linen and other items to the required standard.
- Ensure laundry is handled and stored separately in accordance with hygiene procedures.
- Ensure laundry is processed efficiently and within required timescales.
- Keep the laundry room, equipment and surrounding work areas clean, tidy and organised at all times.
- Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH, infection-control and manual-handling procedures.
The Person:
- Have strong attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high standards.
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Have the ability to work independently and manage their workload.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Have an understanding of good hygiene and Health & Safety practices.
- Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.
