What is the Role:
Reporting to the Group Head of Enterprise Architecture & Design, Group Change, the Senior Lean Manager will be accountable for leading the Lean team and Lean Centre of Excellence for AIB.
Group Change is the centre of excellence that leads the Bank’s change and transformation agenda, ensuring successful execution of changes and transformation programmes and playing a leading role in the execution of the Bank’s overall strategic objectives. Within Group Change, the Enterprise Architecture & Design team is responsible for translating strategic plans into implementable initiatives and ensuring that all change is designed correctly at both an individual program level and enterprise-wide level in line with the Bank’s strategy.
The Senior Lean Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Lean strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to define an enterprise-wide process architecture, implement process improvements and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
The role has a strong focus on leadership and people development as you will lead a team of qualified practitioners to drive operational excellence across the business and help to bring the bank’s purpose to life in an innovative and creative way.
This is a senior management role within Group Change which requires the ability to think strategically at an enterprise-wide level to align the Bank’s purpose and strategic objectives with the enterprise process architecture. The role requires maturity and sensitivity in approach as you engage with and respectfully challenge senior leaders across the organisation to drive out efficiency improvements in the long and short term.
The Lean Senior Manager, will be responsible for:
Key accountabilities:
- Decision Making: Develop robust decision-making capabilities within the Lean Team and guide Lean squads to deliver value to organisation providing leadership, best practices, research, support, and training
- Problem Solving: Works with business teams to drive value and solve complex problems, understanding impediments to be resolved to deliver on Lean value creation, mindset and capability.
- Collaboration: Establishes trusted advisor relationships at senior levels and provides direction, constructive feedback, coaching and mentoring to team members
- Level of Influence: Inspire and guide Senior Leadership in key principles to sustain long-lived Lean within Business Areas and on embedding continuous improvement towards desired outcomes.
- Leadership: Technical expert and thought leader in domain of expertise and leads others to deliver objectives
- Culture and Conduct: Champions a culture in support of our Purpose, strategic ambition and Brand Values, by ensuring processes and procedures consistently promote good outcomes for all our customers.
