Learning & Development Business Partner
Purpose of the role
The Learning & Development (L&D) Business Partner will have a strategic and hands-on role in shaping, delivering, and embedding a high-performance learning culture across Children’s Health Ireland. The L&D Business Partner will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure learning aligns with business objectives, HR strategic goals, is accessible to all, and is well measured, reported, and continuously improved.
Learning Management System Development – 0.5 role
A key responsibility of this role includes working closely with a Learning Technologist to ensure the successful implementation and governance of the LMS.
It encompasses the full spectrum of learning delivery methods—classroom, virtual, e-learning, blended—and includes ownership of all mandatory and compliance training and be the gatekeeper for all reporting in this area. Full set-up of all departmental training catalogues for every portfolio in CHI, this needs to be in place from day one in the New Children’s Hospital.
Staff Supports & Wellbeing Lead – 05. role
The Staff Supports & Wellbeing Lead is a strategic role within the TLD department, responsible for supporting the design, development and delivery of a practical and future-focused wellbeing strategy that supports the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of all staff across CHI.
Design and deliver inclusive, evidence-based interventions that promote mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing, tailored to the stressors of paediatric healthcare. Provide staff with psychologically informed support and resources to navigate uncertainty, workload change, or role realignment. Work closely with HR, TLD and Communications to ensure wellbeing is visibly prioritized during 2026’s year of transformation and change
Essential Criteria
· 3rd level qualification in Human Resource Management, Education & Training, Learning & Development, or other areas relevant to this role.
· Minimum of 3 years’ post graduate experience working in a Learning & Development business partner, Education or Training role.
· Demonstratable experience implementing and managing a Learning Management System (e.g., HSeLanD, SuccessFactors, Workday Learning, CORE, Moodle, Cornerstone) - preferably in a public sector environment.
Or
· 3rd level qualification in Health Promotion, Human Resource Management, Training, Learning & Development; or other areas relevant to this role.
· Minimum of 3 years’ post graduate experience in designing, developing and implementing a varied range of staff supports – preferably in a public sector environment.
· 3 years post graduate experience in a range of health promotion initiatives.
