Learning Support Assistant Register

The Learning Support Assistant will have responsibility for providing additional learning support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. He/she will be required to undertake a range of tasks associated with supporting learners on a range of full time and part time courses, this may include working one-on-one or in a small group within a classroom, supporting students with their education and social development. A Learning Support Assistant provides support to students who have a learning difficulty and/or disability such as specific literacy difficulties, Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome, mental health difficulties or mobility difficulties.
* This is an application to the Permanent Casual Learning Support Register. Applicants have the potential to be offered up to 36 hours per week during term time. Student requirements are confirmed following an initial needs assessment with the Learning Support Co-ordinator at any point in the academic year. Staff will be given an indication of hours at the beginning of the academic year; these are likely to be reviewed to meet the needs of new referrals as the academic year progresses.
This is a permanent casual contract within the College. Closing date for applications is Friday 24th July 2026 at 12noon.
