Learning Support Manager
Permanent post, 23 hours per week.
Monday or Wednesday (day to be agreed) 8.30am – 5.15pm Thursday 8.30am – 6.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm.
Hours may vary from time to time to suit the requirements of the post.

We currently have vacancies for two Human Resource Assistants.

JOB PURPOSE
​​​​​​​
Under the direction of the Head of Learner Welfare the post holder will work with individual learners who have disclosed a learning difficulty /disability to identify, arrange and monitor appropriate learning support solutions and manage learning support assistants in providing support interventions.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Hold a level 5 qualification on the NQF (National Qualification Framework).
2. Demonstrate two years’ experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in an educational setting.
3. Demonstrate one years’ experience of identifying student support needs and implementing solutions to meet these needs.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of Further Education institutions’ statutory responsibilities in relation to Special Educational Needs and Disability.
5. Demonstrate competence in the use of ICT including the following Microsoft Office applications: MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
6. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
