Lecturer

We are currently recruiting lecturers for our Summer 2024 term and are also looking ahead to the remainder of 2024..
We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced lecturers to join our existing team here in Dublin to lecture on programmes from Level 6 through to Level 9.
Specific areas of interest are:
- Maths & Statistics
- Finance & Accounting
- General Business
- Marketing and Digital Marketing
- Data Analytics
- Cybersecurity
- ICT & Technology Innovation
- Student Learning & Development
Note that much of these are day-time hours with face-to-face delivery in Dublin city center. Please indicate in your application if this is achievalbe for you.
Responsibilities:
Teaching
- Deliver lectures and tutorials aligned with prescribed learning outcomes.
- Prepare learning materials for class use, aligned with prescribed learning outcomes.
- Prepare, grade, and feedback to learners on assessment work using the appropriate feedback templates.
- Ensure assessment is complete, and marks are available for Internal Examination Meetings and Examination Boards.
- Being available (within reason) outside of class hours to provide appropriate academic guidance to students.
- Attend and contribute to Examination Boards, Programme Boards and School meetings where appropriate.
- Adhere to deadlines set by the school.
- Liaise with the Programme Administrator Manager on administrative aspects of the programme(s).
- Liaise with the Programme Director on academic aspects of the programme(s), including ongoing academic evolution of the programme(s).
- Liaise with other Departments (e.g. Registrar’s Office, Exam’s Office, Library) and staff as appropriate.
- Contribute where possible to supplemental lecturing e.g. providing cover for a colleague on sick leave.
General
- · Contribute, if required to various College Committees
- Supervise projects and dissertations when appropriate.
- Perform other duties, appropriate to the position, as may be decided by the Head of School from time to time.
Requirements for the position:
- Applicants are required to be appropriately qualified academically.
- Level 10 qualifications are preferred but applicants need a minimum of a Master’s qualification for Master's programmes.
- Level 9 Master's qualifications are required for Undergraduate programmes.
- Level 8 qualifications are required for Foundation programmes.
- Business or industry experience is highly desirable.
- Preference is given to applicants having previous lecturing experience and/or a teaching qualification.
- Research experience is preferable for those teaching on Master's programmes.
