We are currently seeking applications for a part-time Lecturer in Financial Reporting to deliver undergraduate-level modules in Financial Reporting. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable educator who is passionate about accounting education and committed to inspiring and engaging students in their learning.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional or educator to contribute to the development of students by delivering practical, industry-relevant classes that build strong financial reporting knowledge, analytical skills, and professional competence.
Details:
Location: In-Person teaching on campus on Sth Great Georges Street, Dublin 2
Contract: Part-time
Duration: 12-week semester
Teaching hours: 5 hours per week (daytime)
Day & Times: Fridays, 11:50am to 5pm
Start Date: week of 7th September 2026
Module Topics include:
- Conceptual and regulatory aspects of financial accounting
- Accounting for transactions and events
- Preparation and presentation of single-entity financial statements
- Analysis and interpretation of financial statements
- Current issues in financial reporting
Essential qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have:
- A postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Financial Reporting, or a related discipline (minimum requirement)
- Relevant professional or industry experience in financial reporting, accounting, auditing, or corporate finance
- Excellent analytical, presentation, IT, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to relate accounting theory to current business practice and regulatory developments
- A proactive, student-centred approach, with a commitment to supporting learner engagement, progression, and employability
Desirable
- Previous lecturing, teaching, or professional training experience
- Experience delivering Financial Reporting, Financial Accounting, or related accounting modules in higher education or professional training environments
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Experience using accounting software and financial reporting technologies within teaching or professional practice
