Leisure Centre Attendant

Treacys Westcounty Health and Leisure Club Ennis are currently seeking to employ a suitably qualified lifeguard and gym instructor on a part time basis.

A successful candidate will:

• Provide all members and hotel guests with a friendly, safe and positive experience.

• Maintain a high standard of customer service.

• Carry out leisure attendant duties on site including lifeguarding, reception, gym & cleaning

• Be flexible regarding time table and company demands (variable hours and weekend availability is required).

Main Responsibilities:

Follow company operation procedures, such as NOPs, EAPs and recognised national pool lifeguard guidelines.

· Report to appropriate departmental management as required.

· Ensure the health and safety of customers at all times.

· Maintain high standards of supervision while performing lifeguard and gym duties as required by the Leisure Centre Manager.

· Uphold high standards of pool cleanliness and hygiene.

· Promote the facility effectively, liaise with members and contribute positively to providing a high level of customer service.

· Additional duties may be required from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory:

· Swimming Pool Lifeguards – RLSS/IWS or equivalent

· Gym Qualification – Reps Recognised

Desirable:

· First Aid Certificate

· Child Protection certificate

· Full or assistant Swim Teachers Qualification

· Pool Plant Qualification

Personal Attributes

· Good communication skills, fluent English.

· Should be able to work as part of a team and also on own initiative

· Enthusiastic, hardworking and self-driven

· Punctual and reliable

· Should demonstrate a keen interest in sport and the leisure industry
