Title: Full Time - Live In Personal Assistant / Carer

Location: Quiet, rural location in south Co. Wicklow

Would you like to join a small dedicated team of people to enable a mature gentleman, living with a Spinal Cord Injury, to achieve maximum independence in his daily living, by providing assistance in all areas of personal and domestic needs and by acting as a support in the social and day-to-day activities.

This gentleman is paralysed from the neck down and is confined to a wheelchair and requires the assistance of two people for all transfers etc.

We are a private household that currently has a full time Live In Vacancy for a Qualified Personal Assistant /Carer.

We self-direct our own care with the assistance of Aiseanna Tacaiochta CLG through a HSE homecare package.

Personal care and social care is provided by a small team of people on a rostered basis, we need kind, caring, empathetic and trustworthy people to assist this gentleman live as normal a life as possible in his own family home which is located in the countryside.

Full Time Live In Position:

• Morning, Afternoon and Evening Shifts
• Flexible hours
• 35 hours a week guaranteed but could be up to 45 hrs
• Own Bed Room, Bathroom, a separate shared Kitchen / Sitting area for Carers / Personal Assistants
• Internet access

Qualification:

• FETAC Level 5 in Health and Social Care
• Full Driving Licence
