Job Title: Local Government Training Group (LGTG) Coordinator
Salary: Scale SO2, NJC Spinal Column Points 28-30 £39,152-£40,777 per annum (plus employer pension contribution)
Duration: Fixed Term until 28th May 2027 with possibility of extension
Location: Lagan Valley Island

Key purpose of the job:
The LGTG is a Shared Service, which aims to ensure the timely implementation of initiatives, to support the Local Government Reform process, the transformation agenda and contribute to the building of knowledge and skills in Councils. Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council is the current host Council for this Shared Service.
Reporting to the LGTG Strategic Decision Making Body & to the Human Resources & Organisation Development Manager (Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council), the post holder will be required to undertake the operational activities of the Local Government Training Group Shared Service to promote or assist the development of, or providing facilities for, the training of officers through:
Assisting in the identification of training needs
Providing a forum for the consideration of identified needs
Facilitating the planning, implementation and evaluation of training programmes
Assisting in the determination and allocation of resources
