Locum Consultant Pathologist With A Special Interest In Perinatal Pathology

We are seeking a locum pathologist to work at GUH, delivering perinatal pathology services.

This would entail provision of perinatal autopsies, placental reports and mutidisciplinary team discussions. The appointee must have experience of working in Perinatal Pathology services including perinatal post mortems, placental pathology and early specimens from early pregnancy losses. Regular perinatal autopsy practice and placenta examination is expected. Experience in Early Neonatal peadiatric pathology is a merit. Appointee would liaise closely with staff in departments such as Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Fetal Medicine/ Ultrasound, Neonatology, Neuropathology, Paediatric Radiology and Clinical Genetics, in the provision of the perinatal pathology service. Daily team work with the GUH mortuary staff, senior perinatal scientist and bereavement midwives / bereavement officers, both in the hub and in hospitals throughout the Saolta network.

Specialist registration is required.
