Located in Ashbourne, County Meath – just 40 minutes from Dublin city centre where 350 colleagues work at our state-of-the-art production facility and Head Office, we process 30,000 tonnes of Irish potatoes annually (representing 10% of the Ireland's total potato crop) to make the nations favourite crisps. Title: Machine Operative - Day Shift

Function: OperationsReporting to: Line LeadLocation: Ashbourne, Co. MeathRole type: Full-time, Permanent

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the H&S, hygiene and housekeeping of your area as per company standard.
  • To contribute to the performance of all the production shifts through one way of working.
  • Responsible for FTQ and all quality control parameters linked to production for your area of work.
  • Responsible for the recording/inputting of all data in your area of work through paperwork/FMES.
  • Responsible for the Efficiency in your area – maximize total output from all forms of packing machines through effective communication with Line Lead, Maintenance Lead, Process Lead and Team Captains on a continual basis to improve.
  • Responsible for monitoring/delivering total hourly efficiency of your area of work.
  • Responsible for checking your area and machinery is left in its standard working condition that is line with company best practices.

KEY SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES / CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Pro-active team player.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of all packing machinery.
  • Computer skills desirable (e.g. Excel)
  • Good knowledge of product specifications and companies CCP’s. 
  • Good communicational skills and willingness to actively listen.
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve our way of working

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience operating manufacturing machinery
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to liaise with varying management at all levels, both internal and external
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Well organised
  • Willing to undertake personal development training
