Maintenance Assistant

This is an exciting position for the right candidate. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of this role is to assist with general mainteance issues that arise across the hotel and estate.

This position is Tuesday to Saturday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Main duties include (but are not limited to:)

• Conduct daily and weekly checks of water features, sewerage plant and oil levels
• Answer intercom/phone and attend to deliveries when required
• Assist with general maintenance issues in guest bedrooms and general hotel areas as required
• Preparation of timbers logs for house use
• Assist the maintenance manager to carry out all work necessary in maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure golf buggies are maintained and safe to use
• Painting and repairing items throughout the house and estate as required
• Identify and report the need for ad-hoc repairs
• Maintain the workshop and maintenance stores areas in a tidy condition at all times.

Skills/Experience required

• Have a basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical wiring
• Flexibility in relation to working hours and call-outs where required
• Full Irish Drivers licence is required (ability to drive tractor is advantageous)
• To be a self-motivated maintenance technician and continuously strive for self-improvement.
