Maintenance Manager

Description

As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of multidisciplinary service partners in delivering critical maintenance services across Apple's campus. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, directly impacting employee productivity and the overall Apple experience.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are seamless across the campus minimising business interruption, whilst identifying improvements in current processes.
  • Continuously improve a structured preventive maintenance program to maximise plant and equipment up time.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency maintenance incidents (including after-hours), ensuring rapid response, clear communication, and effective resolution.
  • Coordinate with the discipline leads within the Places team and support CAPEX project interfaces for shutdowns, tie-ins etc.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, enabling internal Apple customers to do their life’s best work in safe, well-maintained facilities.
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Oversee compliance, ensuring all works are permitted and carried out in compliance with ISO certification and manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready compliance records, ensuring all inspections, permits to work and safety protocols are up-to-date. Address regulatory feedback proactively.
  • Manage and oversee all maintenance-related contracts, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and quality standards to drive operational excellence.
  • Provide consistent and proactive updates to leadership on operational performance, maintenance trends, and potential risks.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Technical experience in facilities maintenance, operations management, overseeing complex maintenance programs, service requests and compliance processes.
  • Direct experience managing work order systems, preventive maintenance programs and technician performance in a high-demand environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve issues, consistently exceeding customer expectations and delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong people management experience with ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technology and complex workflows.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
