Role Profile:

Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager in the dairy processing facility in Belview, Kilkenny, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and optimisation of the Belview plant maintenance program. They will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, technicians and apprentices to plan in and complete planned works, support unplanned works and manage actions from other departmental stakeholders, including H&S, Quality, Production and Process teams.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Owner of CMMS systems (SAP) for Belview’s Engineering & Maintenance function.
  • Scheduling of all planned planned/preventative maintenance tasks utilising internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ensure correct tools, parts and equipment are present for planned and reactive maintenance – including the creation of Job plans
  • Management of short term contractors coming to site for planned maintenance works.
  • Ensure department key performance indicators are correctly designed and subsequently achieved
  • Implement and support the creation of step action guides for machinery related learnings
  • Ownership of the Maintenance shutdown and coordinating contractors and works related to it.
  • Understand cost impacts of all works within the department
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Manager and Tech leads to schedule manpower and resource for planned maintenance work;
  • Support the closure of Event reports, RCA’s, SIM’s, Leaks and Hygiene actions ensuring plant is always Audit ready
  • Engage with other departments, including managing maintenance related meetings & attending other department related meetings to ensure maintenance related actions within these forums get actioned and addressed
  • Support the Engineering and Maintenance managers in ensuring audit preparedness and manage workflow from other departments, into the maintenance schedule.
  • Work with a H&S, and Quality mindset and ensure maintenance related works are managed with this in mind.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Third level qualification in Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical craft qualification, or relevant industry related experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good Attention to detail essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Office an advantage
