Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. This role oversees and participates in the daily execution of plant maintenance activities, managing the maintenance program based on industry best practices with a focus on planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance. This position is instrumental in the shift toward a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) culture across maintenance and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a working supervisor, assisting on the production floor with troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Supervise and motivate the maintenance team to execute safe, timely, and cost-effective maintenance programs.
  • Ensure technicians are properly trained, equipped, and competent in their assigned tasks.
  • Lead emergency and scheduled maintenance efforts to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct regular meetings to foster communication, collaboration, and address team concerns.
  • Utilize the CMMS to manage work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts and supply inventories.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify improvement opportunities and enhance preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets, ensuring alignment with cost-saving and reliability goals.
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a related technical field; BS in Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (roofing, web handling, or continuous process preferred).

  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment alongside technicians.

  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance systems and overall manufacturing maintenance operations.

  • Financial acumen to drive plant performance and cost optimization.

  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing processing equipment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Skilled in conducting assessments, audits, and tracking progress toward goals.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Self-motivated, decisive, and results-oriented leader with strong interpersonal skills.
