The Role:
The Organisational Risk and Resilience Team is responsible for developing and implementing Uisce Éireann’s Organisational Risk Management, Policy and Framework and assisting the business in ensuring that appropriate risk management processes are in place to identify, measure, monitor and report their risk profile. The function ensures that an appropriate resilience (Crisis Management and Business Continuity) policy and framework designed, implemented and is operated across the organisation to minimise the impact of a business continuity or crisis management events. The function will also support the development of the UÉ management systems model in line with ISO standards and including the provision of its core support processes (CAPA/Doc Control)
Reporting directly to Management Systems Technical Manager, the Management Systems Technical Lead will be responsible for delivering key components of the Uisce Éireann Integrated Management System ensuring all Uisce Éireann based ISO systems and approaches are integrated and work in a seamless manner. The Management Systems Lead will also be responsible for managing and delivery of support processes (including : Audit, CAPA & Legal Evaluation) and also providing expertise to the wider business on management system design and implementation
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Management Systems Manager in relation to key aspects of management systems Including the annual audit program, the Uisce Éireann CAPA ( Corrective A tion/Preventative Action ) process and other associated management system processes and procedures.
Communicate and engage with key stakeholders in developing the Integrated Management Systems models across Uisce Éireann ensuring that it aligns the wider business areas.
Support the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System, assisting in the shaping and embedding of an integrated approach to management systems, driving alignment form a policy and strategic level
Embedding the management systems culture within the company through effective engagement and awareness programmes
Management of key support and core processes necessary for the organisation to develop ISO based management system structures.
Manage the annual ISO audit programme for the wider business to verify compliance with policies, procedures and ISO processes.
Provide support to the Uisce Éireann tender process in relation to quality assessments
Develop Management System related policies, instructions and procedures for implementation by the wider business which are aligned to the requirements of ISO based models
Manage a team of specialists coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team
Drive High performance & deliver key management system metrics for Uisce Éireann including the annual ISO audit plan and CAPA targets
Proactively manage & develop key internal & external relationships as part of the overall assurance of the ISO models including external auditors and certification bodies.
Participate in and chair governance groups, maintaining key stakeholder engagement & participation
Manage the Uisce Éireann Corrective & Preventative Action (CAPA) process to effectively identify and resolve root cause issues for systemic process failures.
Responsible for the Interpretation of government regulations and applicable codes to ensure compliance including the management of the Uisce Éireann Legal evaluation process
Deliver management systems training and awareness programmes
Responsible for proactively identifying risks and issues that may impact the business and working with the extended Risk & Resilience team and business to mitigate against them. Escalate risks and issues to the Management Systems Manager as appropriate.
Promote a continuous improvement mind-set, and support integration with other activities across the organisation
Develop and enhance stakeholder relationships with external industry peer organisations representing Uisce Éireann at national fora and events.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across Uisce Éireann
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across Uisce Éireann and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
Provide visible leadership for your team, coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential and deliver business objectives, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team.
Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Uisce Éireann business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
A minimum of 5 years’ Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries including a minimum of 3 year’s experience in auditing or 2nd party auditing.
Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills.
Working knowledge and experience in Management systems in particular Quality, Environmental, Energy and Health & Safety ISO Standards
Experience of monitoring adherence to policies and controls and leading teams to work to the highest ethical and professional standards.
Demonstrable experience to continuously developing and improving ways of working and points of escalation for customers
Ability to develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally and offer guidance and support to make the right decisions
Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to others
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
Skilled in continuously reviewing safety practices and suggest ways for improvement
