About us:
Our capital allowances team is part of the leading real estate tax practice in Ireland. We provide services to clients across the property spectrum including owner-occupiers, tenants, property investors and property developers to ensure they fully consider the capital allowances / tax depreciation and ultimately the tax savings available in respect of their real estate investments.
We are recruiting an experienced hire to join our growing team following a period of sustained growth. You’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients to optimise the tax attributes in respect of their property investments.
Specific responsibilities include:
Prepare capital allowances claims for clients on both direct construction costs (new builds, refurbishments and fit outs) and property acquisition costs.
Navigate and analyse technical construction information such as bills of quantities, contract sum analysis, final accounts, construction specifications, construction drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
Develop reconstruction cost plans for property acquisitions using quantity surveying techniques to value the building and plant and machinery.
Perform site visits to identify assets qualifying for capital allowances.
Managing client engagements and developing strong relationships with both our clients and internal stakeholders.
Coach team members and drive the team to make a difference and deliver results in a responsible, authentic and passionate manner.
Bring business knowledge, innovation and insight to create value for clients and the firm.
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.
Embrace the digital transformation being undertaken in our business. Being motivated to familiarise yourself with these evolutions and to drive these technologies further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients.
Set the tone in promoting risk management and compliance procedures.

About you
Ideally 3+ years' experience in capital allowances consulting.
Experience with working in, mentoring and leading diverse teams.
Strong client driven commercial awareness and technical ability.
Excellent organisational, project management and analytical skills.
Outstanding communication (both spoken and written) and people skills.
