Manager - Mo Chairde Centre

Mo Chairde, is a Day & Activity Centre and a Community Food Services Programme who provide a vital range of social and health supports to older people and adults living with a disability to enable them to remain as independent as possible in their own homes and communities.

We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time manager to lead this service.

The candidate must be enthusiastic and passionate about community care, flexible, innovative in their approach and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the individual needs and priorities of the people we support.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management role with staff management

• Experience of working with older people or people with a disability

• Experience of working in a food environment

• Budget and financial management

• Project management

• Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to network, liaise and negotiate with other local groups and agencies and to form positive working relationships with local community group committees and funders

• Excellent IT Skills

• A full clean driving licence with access to own transport at all times during the working week is essential

• Experience of working in the area of Community Development & Social Enterprise desirable

• A BA/BSc in Community Development, Social Science or related field desirable

Immediate start required.

Full time position, 37.5  hours per week, based in Keadue, Co. Roscommon.

Salary negotiable.

Satisfactory references and Garda vetting will be required.
