Manager Of Nova Day Service

Manager of Nova Day Service

Location- St Vincent’s Centre, Dublin

Permanent full time post

Salary scale- (CNM2/Social Care Leader - Scale)

Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience, if applicable

The Nova Day Service Location provides a flexible person centered day programme for people who have a dual diagnosis of Autism, Intellectual Disability and high support needs. The service provided is in line with New Directions Policy and provides support to people in a person-centered way to enable them to access day opportunities in a flexible and creative manner that meets their individual needs and wishes.

Essential:

· Hold a recognised 3rd Level qualification in a health/social care division (The Social Care award must be considered eligible for CORU registration).

· Have completed a recognised management programme.

Desirable:

· Have at least 5 years' experience of working in the area of Intellectual Disability including leading and managing a team, resources and delivering services.

· Have previous experience of working in the area of Adult Day Services and providing support to people with diagnosis of ADS

· Be familiar with the New Directions policy and its implementation

· Be able to work closely with families, advocates and MDT members

· Have a proven track record in managing change and be a champion for rolling out New Direction

· Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Have a proven ability to support people in community integration and active citizenship
