With over 25 years of experience in childcare, Kids Inc. is one of Ireland's leading providers of Early Years and Afterschool Care. We operate over 70 onsite Breakfast and Afterschool programmes nationwide, alongside our Creche and Preschool services.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Manager of Operations to join our Head Office team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and passionate leader to help drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the continued growth of our nationwide services.

About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Manager of Operations will provide strategic and operational support across all Kids Inc. Afterschool services.

The successful candidate will work closely with Area Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, staffing, and operational performance while supporting the continued development of the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting Area Managers with the day-to-day operation of Afterschool services across Ireland
  • Ensuring compliance with Tusla regulations and maintaining all operational policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation
  • Reviewing operational reports, quality audits, complaints, and centre documentation to maintain high standards across all services
  • Supporting recruitment, workforce planning, and staffing levels to meet operational requirements
  • Assisting with investigations, disciplinary processes, and employee development where required
  • Monitoring occupancy levels and supporting strategic workforce and resource planning
  • Preparing operational reports and performance data to support senior leadership decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and operational efficiencies across the organisation
  • Working closely with internal departments and external agencies to support the effective delivery of childcare services
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of organisational strategies that support future growth

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of five years' experience working in the childcare sector, including experience reporting to senior leadership
  • An Early Childhood Care and Education qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, operational planning, and project management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Experience supporting, developing, and mentoring childcare professionals
  • A thorough understanding of Tusla regulations and the National Regulatory Framework for School Age Childcare
  • The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, families, and external stakeholders
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality childcare services
