Manufacturing Associate
Provides manufacturing, product and process co-ordination support to the manufacturing line. In addition, coordinates and evaluates production training and trains trainers.
What you will do:
Coordinate and prioritise production to meet customer requirements, maintain inventory levels and relevant Key Production Indicators (KPIs) as per the plan developed with the Operations Supervisor. Communicate and record output levels.
Collaborate with NPI teams to ensure that builds are prioritised and progressed through the line as per required timelines.
Identify and manage training priorities vs business needs monthly
Lead the formation of training schedule and are responsible for executing the plan vs to ensure versatility, station rotation and line staffing plans are adequate to meet business needs. Train & support the line SME’s in delivery of training.
Responsible for approval, implementation, and scheduling of training for document changes.
Lead Production Training for new hires and ensures cross-training plans for employees are implemented.
Evaluates and signs off training. Collaborate with the Training Applications Analyst in the upkeep of the SLMS training & ensuring that training is effectively recorded in line with QMS.
Can act as back up for training drops in the event that the Training Applications analyst is unavailable.
Reviews overtime needs with Operations Supervisor and co-ordinates gathering list of team members to meet this need.
Responsible for rostering work through visual staffing plans and updating holiday schedule for the PB teams aligned with the Operations Supervisor. Holidays are approved by the Operations Supervisor.
Ensure quality standards and expectations are communicated and deployed.
Maintain the reports on quality and production metrics (rework, scrap, line clearance, QA audits, cell shutdown)
Promote current Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Processes
Lead EHS / 6S for your team – ensure that a proactive approach to health and safety. Champion and achieve the 6S process, standards, and objectives using teamwork
Participate in continuous improvement activities, e.g. Lean/Cost Reduction initiatives.
Participate in the resolution of NC & CAPAs as required and ensure effective compliance with Quality Management System (QMS).
All other duties as assigned
What you will need:
Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Third level qualification desirable. Training skills course required.
2+ years Manufacturing experience - desirable to have one year in Stryker business
Ability to co-ordinate, is organised and can multitask in a fast paced regulated environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Relevant product knowledge would be an advantage
Strong commitment to Quality, Safety and G.M.P.
Computer skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
Is good communicator with ability to pass on knowledge, demonstrate skills and help support other’s learning’s, is patient, has attention to detail and is service orientated.
