Job Description

The Manufacturing Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of routine to moderately complex administrative support tasks. This role will be responsible for managing key documentation processes such as Operation Readiness Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Training Documentation, Job Hazard Assessments, 5S and Housekeeping standards. This position will have the ability to advance into other progressing roles in the plant in the future.

Job Responsibilities

  • Daily filing and/or organizing of documents.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work environment.
  • Assist staff with special projects/requests as requested.

Position Requirements:

  • Commitment to the health and safety of IKO employees and visitors.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Industrial / manufacturing background.
  • Ability to consistently interact with clients, employees, and staff professionally and respectfully.
  • Ability to follow and interpret written work instructions and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Ability to perform sedentary work and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk through manufacturing facility and adhere to Safety guidelines.
  • Extensive Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to handle confidential information.

Basic Job Qualifications:

  • Proven computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to quickly learn new computer programs.
  • Friendly, respectful “can do” attitude toward all employees.
  • Versatility and ability to work well in an interrupted environment.
  • Speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Work-related references required.
  • Willingness and ability to cross-train in other functions as/if requested, i.e., health and safety, purchasing, human resources, raw materials ordering, etc.
  • 18 years of age or older (required to work in manufacture / production environment which will engage with machinery, equipment, and hazardous materials).
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent with some college experience preferred.
