Marketing Executive - Commercial Fuels & Dealer

Role Introduction:

Applegreen is in a rapid growth phase and is seeking to onboard a Marketing Executive who will support our Commercial Fuel & Dealer (Franchise) business. This role will form part of the Commercial Fuel & Dealer team but will work side by side with the wider Applegreen Marketing team for support and strategic alignment. Applegreen have 70 Dealer (Franchise) sites in the Applegreen network which consist of independently owned service stations where Applegreen provide the fuel. Our Dealer team consists of Business development managers who approach whose goal is to recruit new business. With the strength of our Applegreen brand and the various models we can offer we can provide increased business volumes, quality fuel and guaranteed supply.

Key Responsibilities:

As Applegreen expands, the responsibilities will evolve and change over time. The core responsibilities will centre around the following areas:

Management of all signage & point of sale (POS) for our commercial fuel & dealer business. This requires a close working relationship with the wider Applegreen marketing team, dealer partners & fuel teams to activate effectively. You will be responsible for:

  • Briefing the designer for artworks required
  • Setting timelines and managing deadlines with our print supplier.
  • Managing approval process with internal stakeholders.
  • Communicating regularly with site Management
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all our Dealer partners through site visits, phone calls and email. You will be the marketing lead for all our dealer partners, so this relationship needs to be carefully cultivated.
  • Manage the Dealer team events calendar and manage end to end dealer events as agreed at the beginning of the year and throughout. (e.g. off - site events, awards nights, international trips, etc).
  • Act as brand guardian for our Dealer sites, ensuring the brand is being presented correctly on the forecourt. This includes outlining a plan for sites needing branding upgrades; undertaking site visits to ensuring standards are being met; investigating & rolling out new concepts for hardware and improved POS solutions; etc.
  • Define and communicate best practice guidelines for Dealer sites to adhere by. Liaise with site management to ensure best practice standards are being met.
  • Work closely with both commercial fuel and dealer teams to support their business goals and create a calendar of support activity to align with their needs.
  • Compiling and developing quarterly newsletters to our dealer partners in conjunction with the dealer team and the distribution of same.
  • Compile a bespoke new site marketing pack for new site openings and work within timelines which will ensure alignment and all in place for opening dates.
  • Carry out site audits within the Dealer network to ensure consistency.

The Candidate should have the following:

Qualifications, experience & skills

  • Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 1 year post qualification experience in a marketing role, preferably in a FMCG or retail business.
  • Works well with deadlines
  • Team player, happy to support the overall Marketing team when required
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High proficiency in all Microsoft Office software also essential (Excel, PPT)
  • Clean driving licence
