Essential Qualifications and Skills
Minimum
Candidates must:
• Have the requisite knowledge, skills, and competencies to carry out the role to a high standard
• Be capable and competent of fulfilling the role to a high standard
• Have obtained at least Grade O6 (formerly D3) in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination (Higher, Ordinary, Applied, or Vocational programmes) or equivalent, or have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI qualifications framework which can be assessed as being comparable to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent or higher, or have appropriate relevant experience which encompasses equivalent skills and expertise
Desirable
• Level 8 degree in Marketing or related discipline
• 3 years’ experience working in a marketing role, planning and implementing marketing campaigns, developing a range of marketing materials, using multiple social media platforms, and/or brand development
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent communication, influencing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to execute multiple marketing campaigns and activities simultaneously
The Role
Atlantic Technological University is an ambitious university with clear goals for growth in its Postgraduate, Part-time, Online, and Flexible Learning student numbers.
The main purpose of the Marketing Executive role is to execute the Marketing Strategy for Atlantic Technological University in an integrated, multi-platform approach and actively promote Atlantic Technological University’s Postgraduate, Part-time, Online, and Flexible Learning brand amongst a wide range of industry stakeholders and customer groups.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, an expert multitasker and communicator with a keen eye for detail, and will be responsible for campaign implementation, digital content creation, monitoring and reporting, and liaising with key stakeholders.
Duties
• Provide marketing expertise and support for the Strategic Marketing function to help meet Atlantic Technological University’s key strategic goals
• Develop and execute clearly defined marketing strategies across target audiences including but not limited to:
o Online, flexible, and part-time learners
o Graduates and alumni
o International
o Postgraduate
• Coordinate, plan, and execute social media and digital marketing campaigns for the target audiences
• Create engaging content (graphic, written, and digital) for distribution across multiple platforms including web, email, social media, search, and print media
• Project manage the design and print of marketing literature, promotional merchandise, signage, and promotional stands
• Support external engagement events on and off campus
• Provide marketing advice and support to other units in Atlantic Technological University
• Plan and manage photo shoots and videography shoots as required
• Act as a brand guardian to ensure the Atlantic Technological University brand framework is used correctly
• Using analytics, establish key performance indicators to report on all campaign activity
• Effectively use the Customer Relationship Management system to maximise marketing opportunities
• Conduct market research to inform new programme development and programme analysis
• Support the ongoing maintenance of web content for the target audiences, including updating programme content, imagery, videos, Search Engine Optimisation, and creating landing pages to support campaigns
• Other duties to be assigned by the Strategic Marketing Manager and/or Atlantic Technological University President
Salary Scale
Grade V Salary Scale: €52,240 - €62,482
Candidates may be appointed up to the 3rd Point (€55,394) of the Salary Scale in accordance with University Policy.
