Essential Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must:

  • Have the requisite knowledge, skills, and competencies to carry out the role to a high standard.
  • Be capable and competent of fulfilling the role to a high standard.
  • Have obtained at least Grade O6 (formerly D3) in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination (Higher, Ordinary, Applied, or Vocational Programmes), or equivalent, or have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI Qualifications Framework that can be assessed as comparable to Leaving Certificate standard or higher, or have appropriate relevant experience that encompasses equivalent skills and expertise.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Level 8 Degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
  • 3 years' experience working in a marketing role, planning and implementing marketing campaigns, developing a range of marketing materials, using multiple social media platforms, and/or brand development.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to execute multiple marketing campaigns and activities simultaneously.
  • Experience working on student recruitment campaigns and events in a Higher Education setting.
Overview of the Role

NW DEPTH is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), led by Atlantic Technological University in partnership with Ulster University, North West Regional College, and Donegal Education and Training Board through the established strategic collaboration, the North West Tertiary Education Cluster (NWTEC).

The overall objective is to develop a learner-centred Digital Skills framework that encourages the progression of individuals through flexible but structured pathways, supporting them to move up the relevant qualifications framework and helping them to enter, re-enter, remain in, or progress within the North West region workforce.

The main purpose of the Marketing Executive role is to execute the Marketing and Student Recruitment Strategy for NW DEPTH through an integrated, multi-platform approach and actively work with programme stakeholders to promote Digital Skills programmes among a wide range of industry stakeholders and customer groups.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, an expert multitasker, and an effective communicator with a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for brand management, campaign implementation, digital content creation, events coordination, monitoring, reporting, and liaising with key stakeholders.

Duties
  • Provide marketing expertise and support for the implementation of the Marketing Plan to support the achievement of NW DEPTH project objectives.
  • Develop and execute a partner toolkit, enabling and supporting partners to run marketing and recruitment activities across digital and in-person activations.
  • Develop and execute clearly defined marketing campaigns across target audiences, including but not limited to:
  • Coordinate, plan, and execute social, digital, media, radio, and press campaigns appropriate to the target audience and within available budgets.
  • Create engaging graphic, written, and digital content for distribution across multiple platforms, including web, email, social media, search, and print media.
  • Engage with Communications teams across partner organisations to create engaging media articles.
  • Project manage the design and printing of marketing literature, promotional merchandise, signage, and promotional stands.
  • Support external engagement events on and off campus by providing marketing materials and social media coverage.
  • Provide marketing advice and support to project partners and stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage photo shoots and videography sessions as required.
  • Act as a brand guardian to ensure the NW DEPTH, partner, and funding brand framework is used correctly.
  • Use analytics to establish key performance indicators and report on all campaign activity.
  • Effectively use CRM systems to maximise marketing opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to inform new programme development and programme analysis.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of web content for target audiences, including updating programme content, imagery, videos, SEO, and creating landing pages to support campaigns.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the NW DEPTH Programme Manager and Strategic Marketing Manager.
Salary Scale

Grade V Salary Scale: €52,763 - €63,107*

Candidates external to the sector may be appointed up to the 3rd point (€55,948) of the salary scale in accordance with University Policy.
