Marketing Officer

Job Description
Social Media Management
- Create engaging and relevant multimedia content for social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Develop and implement social media campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement and followership.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages and mentions across social media platforms.
- Analyse and report on social media performance metrics and use insights to optimise content and strategies.
Design and Visual Content
- Design visually appealing graphics, images and promotional materials for digital and print use.
- Ensure that all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent brand identity.
- Collaborate with team members to create engaging visuals for various marketing campaigns.
Internal Communications
- Responsible for the creation and distribution of internal communications materials, including newsletters, announcements and updates.
- Work closely with Department Managers to gather and communicate important information to employees.
Administrative Duties
- Procure and manage inventory of printed materials and promotional merchandise.
- Maintain a detailed event calendar to keep track of upcoming events.
- Responsible for booking venues for events and meetings, in line with budget and logistic requirements.
- Arrange catering for company events.
- Manage online ticketing system for Ballycopeland Windmill including updating inventory and product listings.
Personal Specification
Essential Criteria
- At least 2 years relevant experience working in a marketing role.
- Proficient user of social media platforms and social media management tools in a business setting.
- Strong creativity and design skills with proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g. Canva, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Have a basic understanding of marketing principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated on industry trends.
Desirable Criteria
- Third level education in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field.
