The post holder will act as the designated 'Harbour Master' for the Council, and exercise all duties laid out in the Harbours Act (Northern Ireland) 1970, in order to protect Council interests at all council harbours. They will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at all harbours under Council ownership. Responsibilities include the development and monitoring of safe systems of work, providing a quality service to berth holders and assisting with the development and growth of the Harbour based service across the borough. ​​​​​​​

Please note

• This is a permanent, full-time post, working 36 hours per week.
• The working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00 am to 4.30 pm.
• A reserve list may be kept from this recruitment exercise.
