Material Support Officer
Industrial TempsBallymena, Antrim£12.30 Per Hour + Holiday PayPermanent
We are seeking a Material Support Operator for our client, Wrightbus based in Galgorm.
Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay rate: £12.30 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm
Job Criteria:
- GCSE llevel Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Must have stock control experience of at least two years in a similar industry
- Experience investigating BOM queries and resolving any issues
- Experience into obsolete stock and determining the outcome
- Experience in problem solving and resolving queries in a timely manner.
- Experience in using Sage or similar ERP system
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Determined individual
- Positive attitude
- Problem solving – discrepancies and material shortages
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Able and willing to work additional hours when required
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to forecast usage of material
Desirable Criteria:
- 3 Years’ experience in material handling or in a similar production environment.
- Current Fork Truck Licence
- Experience in the flow of material from delivery to fitment in a manufacturing facility
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
- Experience in using Microsoft packages
Job Duties:
- Checking stock levels regularly
- Completing the required paperwork when ordering stock
- Updating stock information on the computer system
- Comparing items received against items ordered
- Implementing or improving processes and procedures
- Compiling daily reports and addressing inventory discrepancies
- Maintaining records of pricing, purchases and other relevant information
- Performing random checks and audits
