Materials Controller

Avantor is looking for a dynamic Material Controller to join our team in Sligo! In this multi-disciplinary role, you will support the day-to-day operations of a site inventory management program. This includes inventory management, supporting the day-to-day movement of stock, metric review, purchasing, receiving, storeroom management, product delivery and general customer services activities.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday with flexible starting hours (07:00- 09:00). No evening shifts or weekend work.

The team

As a small team of 2 persons, you belong to our department of Lab and Production Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry. 

What we’re looking for

Education

Completed leaving certificate and 1- 3 years of equivalent experience as material handler/inventory replenishment, warehouse or relevant field.

Experience

  • Strong communication skills for internal & external stakeholder management.

  • Confortable working with Outlook, Excel & Powerpoint. SAP is a plus

  • Good analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset

  • Reliability and dependability 

  • Literacy and numeracy 

  • Self-motivated, energetic, dependable and precise attention to detail

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job

  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus

  • Familiarity with GMP is a plus 

How you will thrive and create an impact

  • You will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and ensure a courteous and professional service.

  • You will act as a point of contact for receipt of deliveries, then prepare and deliver orders for internal distribution.

  • You will perform basic warehouse duties, such as material movement, equipment operation, keep associated record logs as well as assist with inbound & outbound shipments.

  • You will perform all customer site specific tasks as per relevant customer SOW and customer SOP’s

  • You will verify count and conditions of goods loaded and unloaded. Make reports of overages, shortages and breakage/damage as needed.

  • You will keep an organised record of all admin relating to your responsibilities.
