A Casual vacancy currently exist within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-
Mayor’s Driver (Casual)
Salary: £13.69 per hour
Location: The location of this post will be confirmed following the appointment process and may be subject to review as part of the review of services.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role sits within the Corporate & Support Services Directorate supporting the Mayor’s Office.
You will be responsible for providing a professional chauffeuring service for the Mayor/Deputy Mayor, ensuring safe, timely transport and maintaining the civic vehicle to the required standard.
The post holder will work on a casual, as‑and‑when‑required basis, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
PLEASE NOTE: Only application forms containing all the information, which has been sought, will be considered.
The shortlisting panel will base shortlisting decisions on the information contained within the Essential Criteria narrative sections of the application form.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide sufficient relevant information including dates in this section of the form for each criteria.
Applications will only be accepted on the application forms provided; Curriculum Vitaes will not be accepted.
Closing date for receipt of completed applications is Monday 15th June 2026 at 4.00pm.
