Meat Preparation Operative

Sausage meat preparation plays a crucial role in our production process by ensuring consistency of finished products (predominantly pork). As part of our growing team, we are seeking the right candidate to join our meat Preparation team. 

The Role

To carry out various tasks related to meat processing to include:

• De- boxing meat
• Formulation of recipes
• Inputting of data
• Operation of mincing and chopping equipment
• Adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Working alongside our production team to meet production goals/targets and maintain product quality.

The Person:

• Previous experience in meat preparation or a related field is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to move product of up to 25kgs around a chilled production facility
• Basic spoken and written English to assist good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility with working hours and willingness to provide cover for our evening shift as required is essential
