A number of permanent vacancies currently exist within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following posts and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-
Mechanic x 2
37 hours per week
Scale 6 and in the range SCP 20-24 (Currently £31,586 to £34,314 per annum)
Location – Carrickfergus
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The post holder will be responsible to the Senior Mechanic in the delivery of a cost effective and safe vehicle workshop, ensuring delivery of the service is in line with legislation and budget targets and works to achieve the wider organisational objectives as detailed in the corporate plan.
Ensure vehicles, plant and machinery are repaired and maintained as per the schedule set out by the Transport Manager and in accordance with all current legislation and regulations.

The shortlisting panel will base shortlisting decisions on the information contained within the Essential Criteria narrative sections of the application form. It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide sufficient relevant information including dates in this section of the form for each criteria.
