Our MHS Engineers are responsible for delivering repair, maintenance, inspection, and installation services on a variety of mechanical, retail, and electro-mechanical equipment across customer sites throughout Ireland. Working both independently and as part of a wider service team, you will respond to service requests, carry out planned preventative maintenance, diagnose and resolve faults, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

A key part of the role involves accurately completing job reports, service records, and other documentation using company systems, whilst maintaining excellent communication with customers and colleagues. You will be expected to consistently meet service level agreements and provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to customer locations throughout Ireland, including occasional overnight stays. You will be provided with the tools, equipment, training, and support needed to carry out your duties safely and effectively.

Health and safety is our top priority. We are committed to ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and the public through comprehensive training, adherence to safe working practices, and continuous professional development.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Kildare.
  • Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability coupled with strong maintenance skills and relevant technical qualifications.
  • Experience working with 415V electrical systems and hydraulic equipment.
  • Ideally suited to individuals from a heavy engineering, industrial maintenance, or service engineering background, as much of the work will involve troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing Dock Levellers, Scissor Lifts, Cardboard Balers, and Industrial Compactors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently whilst delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Full driving licence essential with minimal endorsements.
  • A flexible approach to work, including regular travel throughout Ireland and occasional overnight stays.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) Requirements

As part of our commitment to health and safety, this role may require the use of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE). To comply with Wanzl's Facial Hair Policy and ensure the effective operation of the required RPE, employees are normally required to be clean shaven.

This requirement applies to all employees who are required to wear RPE. However, Wanzl is committed to supporting employees with relevant religious beliefs or medical conditions, and suitable alternative RPE will be provided where appropriate.

In short; our job is to keep our customers' equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently whilst delivering an outstanding service experience.
